Flag (Guidon) of Los Pozos

"During the Cisplatine War (also known as Guerra del Brasil, Guerra argentino-brasileña and Guerra rioplatense-brasilera) a naval engagement tool place on June 11, 1826 in Buenos Aires where Admiral (then Coronel Mayor de Marina) William Brown (also known in Spanish as Guillermo Brown) beat the Brazilian forces. For this action, a guidon was presented on July 3, 186 by distinguished ladies of Buenos Aires in honor of the great feat. It was later used by Brown as his own insignia in later military actions. It is located at the Museo Histórico Nacional and its measures are 440 mm by 400 mm. The top and the botom stripes are navly blue, and the middle stripe is white with the emblem in the midle. The emblem bears the inscription in gold script letters "11 , de Junio, de , 1826" between laurel and myrtus. The current "Reglamento de Ceremonial Naval" (Navy Ceremonial Guidebook) (R.G-1 921 “P”) in its Annex 10 describes it as a commemorative flag".
